Dear Sponsor,
The FC Barcelona L.A. Soccer Fan Club (‘FCB’) was founded in 1999 in an effort to provide a top-quality Soccer Club for children in Pasadena as well as the surrounding areas. The Club plays in the “Coast Soccer League” which is considered the top league in California and, by many, in the entire USA. Many of the children in the club come from under-privileged families and cannot afford the annual fee of approximately $1,500 per player which covers uniforms, league registrations, tournaments and field permits, and, as a result the club relies heavily on sponsors and fundraising to support its shortcomings.
In its first nine years, the Club has won numerous State Championships and Premier Tournament competitions. Because of their success many teams are nationally ranked and get invited to the most prestigious soccer tournaments in the U.S. as well as abroad. The success of the Club is attributable to the commitment and dedication of many volunteers and all its trainers and coaches who combined have many years of experience developing soccer players.
In addition to the earlier mentioned financial commitments, the Club is constantly in search of acquiring facilities. Unfortunately, most facilities need major renovation and require private funding. By funding these projects through our Non-Profit Foundation we can establish partnerships with local school districts and City officials.
In addition, the Club organizes international soccer trips and tours. These tours not only allow the children to play against top teams from other countries, but provide the children with cultural experiences which many of them would not otherwise enjoy. To date, our children have visited and competed in countries such as Spain, France, Italy, Costa Rica, Mexico and Brazil.
From its inception, the Club has struggled with the aforementioned financial demands and is beholden to corporate and individual sponsors as well as generous families within the club, who have set up scholarship funds for many kids. Approximately eighty percent of our five hundred children (both girls and boys) are simply not able to afford some or all of the Club fees and expenses, and that number grows every year with new registrations. In order to offer these children an environment of discipline and education along with the opportunity to compete at the highest level of youth soccer, we continue to seek corporate and individual sponsors.
If you are interested in becoming a sponsor of this program, please feel free to contact us at sc6068@aol.com for a copy of the sponsorship details and requirements.
We thank you for your support, and for this renewed opportunity to share with you our pride and joy, The FC Barcelona L.A. Soccer Fan Club and all of its children.
Sincerely,
The Directors of FC Barcelona L.A. Fan Club
