A big congratulations goes out to our BU11 team that competed in the prestigiuos Surf Cup tournament in San Diego this past weekend. Their journey to the final was paced by a record of four wins and zero defeats.
The final match was a fierce battle against a formidable rival, L.A. Samba, who last year was crowned the State Cup champion as well as the reigning Surf Cup champion.
The game ended in regulation, in a 1-1 tie. After two scoreless overtime periods, they went to penalty kicks. L.A. Samba came out on top 5-4 and was crowned the Surf Cup champion.
Our boys deserved the right to win this match as they displayed the type of character and will that any champion would need in order to win. Unfortunately, luck was not on their side this time.
There will be many more battles to be won and there is no doubt that they will win their share.
Congratulations go out to our BU9 team for their exceptional season culminating with a State Cup Championship. Congrats to coach Justo Limon for once again achieving this feat.
